Guitar: Matchstalk Men and Matchstalk Cats and Dogs

In 1977 a duo called Brian and Michael released a record in memory of the famous Salford artist, L S Lowry. Lowry painted scenes of life in the city of Salford with its factory chimneys and red brick buildings and peopled these paintings with simple matchstalk figures. The record reached number one in the pop charts and stayed there for three weeks. I quite liked the song and included it in concerts around that time. However, I lost my copy of it and have not really thought about it until today when for no apparent reason it came to mind. I looked it up on the internet and decided to record it, so I hope you like it.

Not having a go but your initial chords are all wrong It's C He painted salford smoky tops, on Am cardboard boxes from the shops, and A7 parts of Ancoats where I used to Dm play

@buckachiddy Thanks for the input, but apart from the extra A7 that is the same as the progression I worked out which respectfully works just as well for me.

@threelegsoman Youtube ruined my formatting, you need to make sure you change to the Am on "cardboard" and then the A7 on "parts" :)
