Mark Davies playing an English tune on a two-row Wheatstone Linota Anglo Concertina, C/G tuning, made in 1934. This is filmed in Kilshanny, Co Clare, in May, 2008. You can see the table set for dinner in the background and at one point you can see Roz slaving away in the kitchen.
Mark hosts an international concertina gathering, The Bradfield Traditional Music Weekend, in August in Bradfield, England. This small festival attracts some of the best English and Anglo concertina players from Europe and the USA. The festival is small but highly regarded. Some makers are also in attendance.
At the end of the tune Mark comments that this concertina is the best two-row Wheatstone Linota he has ever played.
Nice playing - footstomping music! : )
