  • hey guys at 3:08 it looks to be the one and only PRR TURBINE ENGINE EVER BUILT PETTY COOL AND VERY RARE VIDEO OF IT LOOK!!!

  • @grizzleybearz282004 That's not the S2, it's a Q2 4-4-6-4 engine. You can clearly see the Walschaert valve gear on the engine, which the S2 didn't have.

  • Lots of people here bemoan the second-rate status of passenger rail in the U.S. compared to the rest of the world, but I wonder how many of these people realize that the French TGV, Japanese bullet trains, or China's latest high-speed trains are the product of GOVERNMENT spending? The Republican Party has ideologically prevented such investment here in order to stop "Big Government" and prevent "socialism". The U.S. brings up the rear in high-speed RR technology as a direct result.

  • @shenanigan87 You can thank our freight rail lines for dumbing down our system. There is very little ATS outside of the east coast corridor (BNSF in S. California has it across the Mojave).

  • @choirboyfromhell1 By the looks of the Metrolink crash, that applies to some US railroads as well.

  • PRR got it all!

  • 60 years the USA had best and fastest passenger trains in the world. Today we are behind China.

  • To see what we've trashed in this country seems criminal....
