Question for origins1965. If you feel George ruined his career why so much attention to his videos. Can you answer why he is able to sell tickets in arena's and football stadiums with large crowds of people paying large sums of money to see him and he has had virtually no publicity in the US for years. It's called talent. He is without doubt a Icon and he is gaining more and more fans through Youtube. Your not spoiling it for those of us that love George. Your just sounding like an ass.

Can't people just grow with the times and live and let live? Recognize great talent and a great voice and leave it at that. This is a beautiful song and George sang it beautifully. Thanks for posting this

@grettoz Yes. I know. He wrote it for Peggy Seger, while he was in England and she was in US. He could not get permission to enter US because of his politics. She needed a song for a production. Thus was born one of the greatest love songs ever written.

Only thing George could have messed up was not keeping singing. He has beautiful voice for any song. His life is his own his music is ours :)
