Peter Marshall's Italy 3 Puglia Part 11 Alberobello, Martina Franca & Locorotondo

Travel by Ferrovia Sud Est to Alberobello and see trulli all the way. Also plenty of swallows/swifts in town. Listen to the Alberobello Band. Then travel on towards Martina Franca and see more trulli on the way. Arrive in Martina Franca and listen to their local Band (a must for all brass band fans). Join a local wedding and get a smile from the bride. You got a lift from the station, offered by a typically kind Italian, so you have a little problem finding your way back to the station! Travel back on a double-decker FSE train towards Bari, stopping on the way at Locorotondo. Follow a group of English tourists and when you look in the local Duomo and then leave it you are invited to join the wine-buffet party - another example of Italian hospitality! Meet a man from the village where I was born - the Saga Tour guide is from a village near where I live now! Have a quick last look at Bari.
