Meteor crash into building

Please understand, this is really old! I know this sucks! But I like to look back to see where I was when I first started all of this.

Old effects working with AE, a meteor falls from the sky and crashes into a building. Made with After Effects and a city picture I grabbed off of the Internet. Made: 10/21/07

There are two pictures, the background is a city picture and the demolition building is a separation picture, I got both from Deviantart[dot]com.

Even though i think thats trapcode you can tell you have a pretty good eye for this. i like the lighting effects you added. keep up the good work :)

Thanks, yes it's Trapcode. I separated the city background into several layered paralax backgrounds, and the light from the meteor created the "moving" light.

i loved how it was flying but the explosion is not very real, fix the explosiona dn this is AWESOME. by the way i love how you lit the ciry as it was passing over. did you do that with an adjustment layer and mask?

Thanks, this is my really early work. I separated the city into several layers and attached a light to the meteor that created the light effect as it passed over each 3D layer.

to be honest a meteor that size would obliterate the entire city, it'd be like a nuclear explosion
