Here's the truth, before there were north and south korea was still an individual nation. Since there were a dispute between the people in korea some decided to follow commies and some follow republicans. North decided to invade south because they wanted to reunite as one, Stalin(soviet union) gave orders to North and would aid them in their invasion. The United States feared that the south is going to be influenced by commies; so they've decided to aid the south.
