@Primantiss Oh I remember that episode. Hard to forget if you watched it at the age of 8 (or 7?).^^ It's a good episode though.

The reason was some kind of virus doctor Crusher accidently activated when she treated Barklay's injured hand.

@germanvisitor2 The episode is called "Genesis, Episode 19 of Season 7.

The general plot line goes something like this. The crew starts to "de-evolve" because of some reason I can't remember, as they revert to their evolutionary ancestors it's up to Data and Picard to save the day.

Worf was in the middle of "de-evolving" which is why he had that funny gland on his face, and spit/burped acid at Crusher.. Apparently Klingons evolved from a very nasty critters.
