organissimo performs its tune "Greaze Monkey" (from the album "This Is The Place") at the Muskegon Summer Celebration on July 9, 2006 as the opening act for TRAIN.

Organist Jim Alfredson is using the new Hammond XK System along with a Yamah Motif ES Rack. Jim only had the system for about a week before this gig and now travels with the organ exclusively. His 1958 Hammond B3, which is in the other videos on this site, has been retired to the studio.

organissimo is:
Jim Alfredson - Hammond organ
Joe Gloss - guitar
Randy Marsh - drums

  • Wow. I just discovered Organissimo on my Pandora "Brian Auger" channel and am loving their music. Bought the latest CD. I played an old white modified Hammond A, if you can believe it, back in the '70s.

  • @danpaullong Thank you! Glad you're digging it!

  • Were you using the Hammond as a midi for the Rhodes sound??? I've never seen that!

  • @tvseal0001 Yep. That's the Hammond XK digital organ and it has MIDI, so I'm controlling an external sound module with it for the Rhodes sound. Cool, eh?

  • @b3groover I use Anvil Studio to work with my midi files. For the professional version(s), I gu to Hit Trax and purchase it

  • Are you from Maine and the white model A was a chop? If so, I bought and restored that organ a couple years ago, now it is owned and played by a guy in Austin TX. Check out my Hammond shop 'Boss Organ' in Somerville MA.

  • Your a great organist keep it up. I was looking to learn how to play and buy my first organ. Wanted to know what would be the cheapest one and is there one that is like a keyboard? I dont want a giant organ lol. If so are there any special speakers I have to get to?

  • I Live in Savannah ga, retired from west Mi, would love to see you guys here in the savannah music fest, or the jazz fest this fall.

  • You guys are FUNK-tastic! You have sort of a Frank Zappa groove going on there!

  • I'm smiling........ GREAT Love it man

  • that is cool indeed...i thought it looked to new-ish to be a B3. Sounds great though!
