u mentioned u had 3 surgeries I know 2 of the what was the third???

She had the surgery Friday. She hasn't been so lucky for she has had some complications. First there is the hypertension and her high pulse rate. Then they did a CT on her, luckily no bleeding or clots. But the chest exray showed that she had phnemonia. If that wasnt enough they moved her to another unit to keep a better eye one her heart. Another CT was ordered and they thought that she had a bowel obstruction, which only turns out to be a kink, so , no surgery was needed for that.

Sounds great that you had (and have) such an upbeat and positive outlook.
Funny how you found solice in you and your dogs shared experience; perhaps it helped show how relative things are.

@transcam619 Not too personal at all. I didn't pay out of pocket for my hysterectomy. It's covered where I live. In the US, I think the average cost is around $8-10K Dr. McGinn in PA charges $7500.

My mother has to have the abdominal full out surgery due to fibroid tumors. I just want to say thank you for your very upbeat video. It gives me an idea of what to expect.

The initial surgery itself was easier than I thought it would be. I didn't have abdominal surgery---that is more intense and your mother will have a longer healing period. Also, did you see my follow-up videos to this one? I ended up having a nasty complication that almost required additional surgery. Scary. Lastly, has your mom checked out the site HysterSisters[dot]com? It's a very good support site for women having hystos.

Thanks for the info. I went to the site you suggested and found it very helpful. Mom is due for her surgery this Friday and we are both a bit nervous at this time, so, any support or info we get is very appreciated.
