We should all be so fortunate to have a friend as loyal as John Prine is to the late Steve Goodman. John has always gone out of his way to keep Steve's memory alive through songs and stories like the one he told before singing this one. For a similar tribute, see John Prine's version of Steve's (and his) "You Never Even Called Me By My Name." John Prine is an American treasure.
