After the communal violence in SL in 1983 lots of Tamils left SL to better lands in Europe, Americas , Australia and NZ and bogusly claimed political asylum. Some countries like Canada invited them with open hands and with the help of activists who had already living there, they colonized places like Scarborough. Later these places became drug dens .The KKS gang operating in Canada was a big embarrassment to the whole Tamil Soc. And a huge social problem to the Police!
