The green pastures and idyllic barnyard scenes of years past, which are still portrayed in children's books, have been replaced by windowless metal sheds, wire cages, gestation crates, and other confinement systems—what is now known as "factory farming." This very educational video, narrated by Casey Affleck, shows kids the truth about factory farms and the animals living on them.

  • Wow, what an angry meat-eater. I still don't understand why you hate vegetarians so much.

Perhaps it's because you are getting frustrated in trying to come up with excuses as to why you help factory farms cruelly exploit and abuse animals, and we don't have to?

  • It's called "supply and demand." You don't need to have a degree in economics to have a basic understanding of "supply and demand."

You buy it then they will continue to supply it. If you don't buy it they won't continue to supply it. Meat is the number 1 cause of global warming.

And the number of people who could be adequately fed using land freed if Americans reduced their intake of meat by 10%: 100 million

  • This video should be mandatory in public schools.

  • @gypjet Don't do nothing, because you can't do everything, just do something. Not eating meat, or dairy, or eggs, is a huge difference. No one is perfect.

    Now go away.

  • However you got permission to show a bunch of kids factory farm footage....you people, are winners lol Going after the kids, LIKE A BOSS! go veg!

  • great video, thanks! I eat less and less meat, great message in your video! we should make meat more and more and even more expensive, that would be a start!

  • So where does our food come from?

  • Yes, the banning of gestation crates is a noble attempt at making the pigs' life as a food animal more comfortable.

Well, sort of. Instead of crates separating them and not allowing them to lie down, they're now merely piled atop one another. Still have no room, still breed disease, still miserable and enslaved.

The cages are the physical problem. The enslavement of sentient beings is the real problem. Let's ban that.

  • Bacon is baby.

  • I am VEGAN.

    It is ..Sanctuary.. wonderful. :P
