perfect? hardly. but it never will be, so here you go. there's a reason i decided against pursuing a career as a concert pianist. i'm no perfectionist, but i do enjoy playing! this vid is mostly for my friends... and to test the quality of the Zoom H1 audio recorder i picked up earlier today. i rate the audio quality as "excellent" - drastically better than the Flip UltraHD's camera audio. i synced up the audio (and added credit bumpers) in iMovie. otherwise, no processing or editing.
@amauritzen89 thanks! i'm fortunate in that i happen to use the area under the piano for junk- er, uh, "equipment" storage, so i just placed the H1 (on the pocket tripod from the $25 accessory pack) atop a cardboard box such that it was maybe 8 inches below the soundboard near my right knee. dunno if you noticed a slight buzz from time to time, but that's the piano, not the H1. it's an old piano and it could use a little work. :?)

I have a question. Where did you position the H1? How far away would you say. Piano sounds good by the way.

@ImForgedByFire (cont.) for my purposes, the production tools are more important. working with multitrack MIDI is always easier when your patch bank is located on the computer itself rather than an external synth. what Logic lacks in intuitiveness, it more than makes up for with a kickass softsynth library.
if i were to buy/build another synth at this point, it would be pure analog. they're monophonic, but the sound is "alive" and you can sculpt it to your liking (even as you play). :?)

@ImForgedByFire thanks my man! Phantoms are awesome. i remember checking one out when i was shopping for my Triton. nowadays you might be better off investing in a high-end MIDI controller and sinking the difference into a MacBook Pro with Apple Logic and/or Pro Tools. i guess it depends on what you're planning to do with it. having a full-on synthesizer might be good if you're doing a lot of live stuff or if you don't wanna mess with a computer when you're playing, but
