This video is a short simple basic tutorial on keeping and breeding on mice on a small scale. This can be done in your home and it does not take up that much space and can save you money in the long run on Mice for your reptiles. But remember the more reptiles you own the more you got to feed so bare that in mind. Figure out how many mice you will need and then do simple basic math and figure up the time it takes for them to breed and to give birth and for the mice to get to the size you need. This might take a bit of time to get down to where you will never need a store to buy your mice, but it is so worth it.

  • Thats stone colds old theme song at the end

  • How do you know when the nice are

    Going to mate???????

  • mm kay?

  • anyone considering this BEWARE: mice have an average of 15 babies per litter and can get pregnant again imediatly after birth. the babies can get pregnant at 5 weeks of age and they WILL if you dont separate the males from the females. this means that unless you have ALOT of reptiles, you will have ALOT of mice. and if they get out, well, its best not to think about it.

  • my female mouse wont let my male hump her why?

  • Excellent video. Thank you.

  • Stolen intro from bbc life in cold blood

  • im thinking of breeding mice/rats so that i dont have to go to the petstore each month to buy frozen rodents. How often do they breed?:S i have 5 snakes atm so thats aprox 5 mice a week. so i guess i shud get a bunch of breeders ?

  • @extreamest1 it is because she was stressed or frightened . u should leave a mouse alone for a day after she gives birth because if she will gett stressed and eat her babys to protect them :) hope it helped :)) xD

  • @bubbleflo13 I am aware you made this comment two years ago, but you mentioned you study rodent behavior for a living. What would this career be called? I am a sophomore looking for the right career path, and I've been having trouble finding a career that specializes in what I'm interested in. Studying rodent behavior is something I think I'd really enjoy doing, I love watching them and studying them would really interest me. Please respond if you can ^^
