He is right, he mostly wants to invest in alternative fuels so the US can become energy independent, and it's a good thing that he mentions that global warming might not be real.

Even in the most optimistic scenarios we couldn't even reduce 1 barrel of oil as compared to oil demand increasing.
Not just us? Why? We're making up 25% of the problem, and all of the historical problems.
By demanding that it's "global" it's merely commiting to doing nothing.
