Caltrain offers passenger train service between San Francisco and San Jose.
In this tour we wait for the train coming from San Jose going towards San Francisco at the South San Francisco Terminal.
This terminal is located below the Grand Street overpass and Aiport Blvd.
You can see the mountain with the sign "South San Francisco The Industrial City"
Travelling by train is a way to get around the San Francisco Bay area if you do not wish to drive, or find that fuel costs or parking fees are way too high.
Some of the larger employers in the area have shuttle buses that go to this terminal to pickup and bring passengers.

See my video about 1/2 a mile away overlooking the same hillside from the parking lot of the Basque Cultural Center
If you take the Caltrain into San Francisco, you will arrive at the downtown train station, just off 3rd Street.
If you need to connect from Caltrain to Bart subway train, you can go to the Millbrae station where both connect, this is near the SFO airport.

Living in South City, I am embarrassed to have this station in my home city. It looks like a perfect place for drug dealing, & it is one of - I think - 2 remaining stations (You could count Broadway & Atherton, but they're only in service on weekends; plus College Park only serves 2 trains each direction per day) that still can't hold 2 trains at the same time (the other being Santa Clara).
