Considering the 2011 GT500 is only making 10 more hp than the 2010, and the SS Camaro is what? .2 seconds slower? The Z28 is also back on in the plans and will have the 560 hp supercharged LSA motor in the CTS-V...I'm pretty sure the Z28 Camaro will out run the GT500.

I have no doubt that the Camaro will still be outrunning the Mustang like it did since..wow...Almost since production began in late 66.

@Jake111992 hmm well that's something ill watch out for i guess. Thats pretty good mpg for having over 400hp! didn't think they could get that. I get between 30-37 mpg on highway (doing the speed limit) but cruising at my own speeds it usually sits around 29-30. Costs $60 to fill and i can get around 600 km on a tank so far. to me that's pretty fkn good..Seeing as my V6 Nissan with 153hp barely gets half that. Yeah AM's 3.7l is siiick.

You've only got 3k miles on yours though. Mine didn't start whining until around 7k miles. Currently I'm at 17k miles and it's getting louder. Not taking it in until Ford recalls the 2011 Manuals.

I get between 28-30 mpg on the hwy.

They redesigned the clutch for the 2012 model which fixed SOME of the trans issues.

I'm sure you've seen American Muscles 3.7L that they've got running 11's. Both Lethal and Kelly Performance have 5.0s that are dipping into the low 9's also.

@Jake111992 Awesome choice! I would have got a gt too..but for my first brand new vehicle between, being 19 years old, insurance prices and buying it on my own i had to go with the V6. I bought a 2012 V6 Premium..and as for the manual tranny..i have almost 5000 km on mine and haven't had a single issue , these new mustangs are amazing, V6 and V8! i have over 300 hp and get over 30mpg all day long and im lovin it haha.

That's the reason I ended up buying a 2011 GT. The manual transmissions still suck though. Tremec wasn't the greatest Ford transmission choice ever but it was a hell of a lot better than the POS Getrag MT82 they're using now. I love the 6speed but wish I had a T56 or TR6060 instead. My MT82 whines like a spoiled 10 year old girl but otherwise I love the car. Damn good fuel economy with plenty of power.

@Jake111992 Camaro's are the best thing that ever happened to mustangs...for so long mustangs were nothing but junk. They were ugly and slow. Then along comes the 2010 Camaro and ford went fuck that shit mthr fkr! they gave ford a reason to make all of the mustangs 150% better than they used to.

so i really hope the camaro keeps stepping up its game, it only gives ford a reason to out do them in every way possible. The camaro has allot of draw backs and things to complain about. mustang none.

if your gonna compare a zr1 to gt500 then compare it to a gt500 super snake its only fair that u compare 700+ horsepower cars against each other.
