  • @DidderKeby too bad there are too few song with routine mode

  • @vyhd actually this mode is really cool. I dont like choreography im a speed player but this mode lets you play as I would normally do with a choreography touch. If its well done, it looks nice!

  • @jen2bsur LOL @ my wife's profile...

  • @vyhd Thanks for the response, I was obviously making an assumption and you corrected me. I learned something, now if only I played PIU 5-arrow and had someone worthwhile to play with...

  • @hellrazor35 i agree with vyhd. I was at sakuracon, and i tried this with my friend and the steps are made so it is easy to pick up. Sure, it might be uncomfortable at first but by 1 or 2 hours me and my friend were able to do all the routine charts available on this machine at the time.

we both play at a freestyle/nightmare level of 8-10.

  • @hellrazor35 Instead of an engine hack, Routine is a full mode of gameplay. It's not a "gimmick" any more than Half-Double.

    - Each player has a noteskin to follow - P1 is blue, P2 is red.

    - Charts are written so they can be sightread; steps flow, no collisions.

    - Routine edits are supported, and it's possible to use StepMania to write them.

If you play Freestyle/Nightmare, you can play on Routine mode with no trouble. Try it out sometime and I think your opinion will change. :)

  • Seriously, a gimmick couples mode on an arcade release... Why? You have to practice these routines to understand how two people play crossing pads and such, it's not intuitive. Just leave gimmick couples as EDIT mode where people can put them on their memory card and play, not as a default step mode. Perhaps it's best ITG failed when it did, no way would any quality members approve of this in an arcade machine (MJ Emzerian was the absolute quality control that made ITG superb)!

  • OMG masters

  • OMG thier are masters at keeping step swwwwwwwwwwwet!

  • I just can't stop watching the guy playing Pop N at 2:10
