I made this track in the mid 80's with the Oberheim OBXa on a 4-track analog tape recorder Tascam 144.
Everything was played by hand, without a sequencer or MIDI.
The remastering is made with SONAR 8.0
This piece was also featured on our national radio called BRT-2 in 1987 in a special program "maneuvers in het donker" for home made electronic synthesizer music.

  • Having listenned to several of your DEMOS. I now rate THE OB-Xa number 2 alltime synth. Just behind the DX7s. I like this John Carpenterish style very much. Your wasted on here you should be doing soundtracks for films.

  • @maisonvague Thanks a lot for your nice commnets !

  • Love it! I used to have a Tascam 144 around the same period. I later "upgraded" to a Tascam 464 which, twenty years later, I now regret. The 144 at least still has the "retro cool" factor going for it, whereas the 464 is kind of boring and useless. Well, not entirely useless. It's great for lo-fi tape saturation!

  • @Booger6995 Many thanks for your great comments!

  • @gerardeerkes Thanks a lot Gerard!
