I was fortunate to see her in Havana. I was in my teens at the time, but I will always remember her. This woman could fill the stage with her presence. She was a true performer. Too bad all she endured toward the end of her life.

She's wearing pieces of old costumes-- things just thrown together. She had no money at this time, and was working because she was desperate for cash. The days of Dior gowns were over. She was always outrageous in her dress, but what you're seeing here is really her clothing at its worst. God love her. If you want to see her at her best look at the costumes from the 50s.
