Video of Yuri Gagarin monument unveiled in London

London has unveiled the monument to the world's first spaceman, Yuri Gagarin, in front of the British Council Mall headquarters on Thursday, July 14. It is planned that the statue will be on display in London just for one year. The British Council and the Mayor of London's Office decided to mark the 50th anniversary of the first manned space flight and also the 50th anniversary of the cosmonaut's visit to Britain. The monument is a gift from the Russian Space Agency Roscosmos and after the display in London it will stay in the UK with its new location to be announced.

And you didn`t get it again - USSR WAS a TRUE democracy, its enough to read Soviet Constitution to see it. In fact in our Parlament - Supreme Soviet - we had up to 52% of independent candidates. US Congress has only 2% now. Soviet citizens was allowed to have weapons - mostly for hunting - over 12 mln units. For example all SVT-40 was sold to civilians right after WW2, not to mention tonnes of weapons remained after battles, my grandfather stored MG-42 in a backyard.
