How to fix the mouse problems in Mass Effect 2 [Guide]

A small guide on how to fix the FUBAR'd mouse control in Mass Effect 2.
All props go to the dudes at the bioware forums that figured this out.

The location of the .ini file thats supposed to be edited is [ME2 install location]\BioGame\Config\PC\Cooked

[ME2 install location]=Wherever you installed Mass Effect 2.

tried it on my resource collecting bug, when resource indicator turned off immediately. "Fixed the file", now whenever i zoom my weapon it can't keep the zoom activated, meaning i play, engage battle, zoom in for closer shot, zoom disables itself and it doesn't work...

@Wutan87 Oh, so thats why it worked for 99% of the people here? take a proper look at the comments, the majority are thanking me.

If the game crashes youre doing it wrong and not following my instructions properly. In fact I know what you're doing wrong, but if youre so stupid you cant figure it out from watching the video (in fact I flat out say it) I wont bother trying to explain it to you.

@Hornilope Actually on further examination i found that my middle mouse button has been so degraded that it caused the before mentioned bug, the problems not being so obvious on other games, like Bad company 2. But thank you for you bitch first comment after attitude. Really shows how much of a moron you are (yes i flat out said it).

Hi when i change the settings from true to false and change the mouse sensitivity and everyhting, i then close the window, it asks me to save i select yes but then for some reason another window appears saying "please check whether if this file is opened in another program" and it does not let me save it, please help

its kinda sad how you have to do all this just to make the game playable. normally when you buy games you would expect it to be playable outside of the box

I got the "please check whether if this file is opened in another program" message too. My problem was that me as User wasn't allowed to change anything, simply just right-click Coalesced.ini -> properties-> security-> edit and make a check in the "Full Control" box.

Worked excellent, I was already screwing around in the editor for changing my resources to match that of a level 60 import then when I started the game I was like. "Wow the fucking sensitivity is high better turn that down like in Mass Effect 1, Goes into options 'Camera rotation speed LOW/NORMAL/HIGH' THE FUCKING SHIT?" And that's where you came in oddly enough I only really noticed a difference in sensitivity after setting it to 0.2 thank you. People who can't do this by the way are retarded.

ok so i did all that and now when i go to launch it i press play and then nothing happens. the actual game doesnt start but i can click on play game. i much appreciate the vid by the way just need to get this little prob out of the way
