They didn't want to show the score at the stadium, they where afraid that the fans would exit as soon as they find out they are out and if they win the put the Pats in the Playoffs. 1 year later and the Jets are doing the same thing, different QB and Coach. Losing to teams with losing records.

Actually, the Patriots win earlier in the day eliminated the Jets from playoff contention.

If Favre won this game that only would've meant that the Patriots would've made it into the playoffs. It was a lose-lose situation for Favre and Mangini, and I wouldn't want to let the Patriots into the playoffs either.
