She has said herself in interviews that she is proud of her native american heritage..So there you go!! Chill ppl..You act like it's so wrong that she might have one once of native blood in her..No all native americans are going to look "native"..The same way when blacks & hispaincs have kids w/ whites.I don't know why it's so wrong for ppl to be native american or claim to be. If I do meet her one day, i will tell her what type of dummys we have on yt denying her heritage...Native piride!!

I love how people get all butthurt when an artist sings this song but is not really half Cherokee or even half Native American. I mean, FFS people... no one ever complains that Joan Baez is not really a Confederate soldier, or David Bowie is not really a fucking Starman. It just a song, wake up!!

She doesn't have Indian blood... only adopted by a STEP-FATHER who was Indian. Just because she claims it, doesn't make it so. Twain conveniently fails to mention that she is only adopted by an Indian Step-Father & she tries to claim Indian heritage via such manner. It would be just like any white, back, oriental child being adopted by an Indian parent, then claiming Indian heritage. So YOU chill!

Twain is NOT biologically Native American/Indian. Wikipedia is not a reliable source... anyone can input their comments into wikipedia & people mistake it as facts. Twain only claims Indian heritage because her STEP-FATHER was of Indian heritage... so basically she is of adopted Indan heritage... i.e. she is NOT true Indian heritage. She's no more Indian than Billy Idol, Kanye West, Lucy Liu... GET THE POINT!
