  • @AznLexusMan the workers are in a cycle. They hold your first paycheck, pay you when they want, change your wage, take money out of your wage for bs taxes, put you in a dangerous environment. Control where you sleep, where you eat, charge you for bathroom breaks if they let you. Your lunch could cost more then you get paid that day, resulting in a deficit and WORK you OWE them. And these are american companys. Using SLAVE labor. And profiting. Read the constitution.

  • Sure, take away the sweat shops, it's would be even more funny when all the employees are unemployeed, turn hungry, and go homeless.

  • maybe u should look into stoping child labor in other countrys rather than protesting gap

  • Actually, you are the one who is naive.. i can give you websites of at least 5 fair trade/socially conscious clothing producers right now:

    rawganique(dot)com

    bonobos(dot)com

    propercloth(dot)com

    tomsshoes(dot)com

    ipath(dot)com

they are all either based in the U.S. or Europe using ethical working standards. So contrary to you misinformation, there are stylish alternatives to the Gap and other companies that really don't give a fuck about anything other than a Buck.

  • I use to work for Gap and the backroom would have made the Fire Marshalls have a major fit, thank God I no longer work for Gap Inc.

  • plonkers

  • These people are incredibly naive.

I assume they all produced they're own clothing, otherwise I'd be tempted to call them hypocrites. Where do they think it's made.

People need to stop blaming Gap for all the problems in the world. It's the current worlds climate that needs to change, and then the retail world will change with it.

Find a new argument, and next time you organise a protest, create some professional placards.

  • I agree the world should take a stand but believe me we can never go back. Part of the global plan, read Global 2000 the Report for the President (for Jimmy Carter).

  • Gap Inc. = Sweatshops!!!

  • i completley agree with you
