im trying to learn a specific version of this, the video with julian bream is the version i want but cant seem to find it anywhere, if you listen to both versions the beginnings are different

this is bwv 1000!! not 1001. can someone on youtube get it right???

bwv 1000 & 1001 starts out almost the same way but this is 1001 I can assure you. it is a transcription of the violin work. 1000 was written for lute I believe along with the prelude bwv 999.
