The beautiful city of Aarhus in Denmark is to host the first Sculpture by the Sea exhibition outside of Australia.

Featuring 60 sculptures from across the world the exhibition site runs from the start of the beach at Tangkrogen past the Queens summer residence to Ballehage Beach and into the forest around the magical building 'Varna'. For further information please email kljc@aros.dk

Produced by ARoS for the City of Aarhus, the exhibition is under the patronage of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark.

  • Sup everyone. I was at the sculpture by the sea at tangkrogen in Århus in 2009. I remember a speciel work, which ment a lot to me - and I was even tempted to buy it, unfortunately it was already sold.

I cannot seem to find it anywhere, and I've been looking for literally hours.

It's a thick rope, which seems to stitch together a "flesh wound" in the earth.

Please contact, PM or as a comment here on youtube, if you have seen that piece of art anywhere, I need to show it to somebody :) Cheers

  • lol i was there really its was nice time any way thank you for this

  • So THAT'S why there were Australian flags all over Aarhus when I cycled through on tour. And why it was an Australian commenting on the horse race in the installation!

  • Great video! Good on you David for getting this up and running in Denmark. Hugs, Brooke Logan x

  • Cool video - thanks Rebel. Clever work linking the words and images so well. Using video to capture sculpture works really well, better than photos, especially for the kinetic stuff. Well done SXS. Have fun, with I was there... next year?!

  • Love your work!!

  • Bravo Reb et al. Looks just gorgeous. Congratulations! Annie Looby

  • Bravo! how wonderful to see our creativity exported to the other side of the world. And how wonderful to see artistic collaboration of sculptural proportion. Bravo! Warren Fahey
