This condition A. N. is a symptom of hyperinsulinemia as a result of insulin resistance .... making weight loss extremely difficult !!!!
It is often a symptom of PCOS as well
Insulin sensitizing drugs like Metformin are very helpful over several months of treatment at a therapeutic dose to make it go away
dosing should start very low .... (250-500mg a day) and increase by 250mg slowly over a period of several months to help with the very common GI effects such as Diarrhea

Thats it? Put yourself on a diet for this skin disorder?
What about prescribing retin-a or urea?
My sister has the same condition despite having lost her weight and yes I do attribute this to being overweight but then again not all obese people have it.
