This includes the Kuvings Silent Juicer, the Hurom Juicer and the Omega VERT Juicers. In this episode, John will explain how the juicer works, and techniques you can use to minimize your chances of having the juicer clog up on you. In addition, if your juicer should get stuck on the base, John will share his method for getting the juicing body unstuck from the motor base.

  • Great video! I find the adding small amounts of purified water every so often helps to clear the machine. John do you still juice whole cherries in the machine? Or is that no longer recommended?

  • Yes, I still juice cherries usually once a year. Its probably fine if you have the HD screen.

  • John you are great. Thanks for this meticulous description. However, I returned a Hurom bought it to reduce the work of my Green Star cleaning on early morning workdays. With all the backup and extreme amount of fiber in the Hurom slow juiced vegies, it didn't accomplish anything, plus juice had to be strained to come out as the elixir I get from the Green Star. So not saving time, a few bucks less over time is useless. What do you see as the value of this over the wonderful green star?

  • There are PROS & CONS to every juicer. Just like each person may like a certain size/style of shoe-- if the shoe fits.. wear it.. Same thing with juicers. Each person has their specific needs and each juicer has its strong points and weak points. The strong points of the vertical single augers is that it is quicker to juice and clean than the green star.. but makes a pulpier juice. Some people dont mind pulp. Those are just some of the pros and cons. Check my other videos for more info.

  • John, you pick your veggies from your garden and put them straight in the juicer with out rinsing them off first. Is it only store bought produce that needs to be washed before use or just non organic? I'm thinking, dust, bugs, pollutants in the air, etc...

    Love your videos!!!:)

  • When I purchase organic produce (I rarely- if ever-- buy conventional produce), I usually wash it before using it. Why? There may be contamination from people, sprays, transportation, etc. If I pick it from my garden, sometimes I wash it, sometimes not, depends if there is bugs on it. (I grow organically). If you grow it yourself, you know exactly what is on your food. Some people say bugs are a good source of b12.

  • John! Thank you so much for making this video! I've been using my new 350 for a week and each time it gets backed up. I had even called Omega and asked for their advice and didn't get much of an answer. I'll be using your suggestions from now on. One of the things you didn't mention specifically was the juicer getting backed up while juicing wheatgrass. My guess is your suggestion to cut things into smaller pieces applies to wheatgrass as well. Again, thank you so, so much!

  • great juicer I love the extra pulp, there is a lot of nutritional in th pulp

  • Thanks for all the Great info and videos. I've had my Omega Vert 350 HD juicer for almost month now and love. I picked the Omega 350 because of your fantastic videos and reviews. Thanks again keep up the good work.

  • @ooohlaa13 I had a Green Star and sold it on Craigs list a month after I bought it. I was surprised at how much pulp came out. Also, it is HUGE and takes alot of work to get veggies through. Also tedious and not easy to clean.

  • I agree with rotating your greens. I grow many variety of greens in my garden and on a daily basis use different greens. Each type of green contains different nutrients, antioxidants and "anti-nutrients" such as oxalates in spinach.

  • I mean rotating the greens you consume, not rotating them as you put them in the juicer. Thank you.
