  • what does the power commander do actually ? the mechanic says its recommended.... plz tell me more...

  • The power commander allows you to change the fuel mappings that are being used by the engine. The onboard CPU has a mapping that is based on a stock engine. Anytime you change the configuration of your engine, add pipes, change air cleaner, the fuel mixture will need to change accordingly. The Power Commander allows you to do this. Having the bike dynoed after these modifications is always the best option. I have had the bike dynoed a couple of years and now use that as my base map. Good Luck!

  • Sounds Awesome, I just bought an 02 Mean Streak with Vance & Hines Performance 2 into 1. I would like to know where you got that shorty tank cover??

  • I got it off of ebay a couple years ago. I don't think the guy is on there anymore unfortunately.

  • Sounds Great. I put the long boy shot guns from Cobra and those are nice as well. Like to know where you picked up the highway pegs! Nice.

  • The pegs are the kuryakn dually on the Kuryakyn longhorns stems. Took some adjustment to get the leg position dialed in. Now I safely say that I have the bike pretty much how I want it. I have changed out the white air cleaner for a K&N but that is about all I may do from now on, aybe a new paint job at some point...

  • Sounds just like MY 2007 means streak with it's Vance and Hines exhaust haha.

  • now THAT'S what a bike should sound like!

  • That does sound very similar to a harley. I've owned two harleys as of now. Very impressive sound.

  • Dang, that sounds almost as good as a harley when it is in idle! Very Nice.
