Awwww! I know what you mean about having a "mother only" relationship with your mom. My mom was the same way.....no jokes, no playing around, no fun shopping trips, all business. :( And I know that it's because thats how SHE was raised. But it's weird because without even having to make a couscious effort, I've totally made sure that I am never that way with Katie. She's only 6 but she knows that even though I am her mom and I make rules and enforce them.....I'm still her friend.

(cont...) We have mommy-daughter days where we go shopping together and have lunch or maybe just pop some popcorn and watch a movie together. All the things I wished my mom would have done with me. :( I moved 3 hours away from home about 8 years ago and I recently found out that after I left, my momma didn't get out of bed for days. So she was actually feeling those feelings but couldn't show it. Maybe thats where your mom is too. :) *hugs*

@jamibful aww girl thanks so much for that. that is exactly how i wish my mom was, and i always say when i am a mother i will do the things my mom never did. i think that is so great you do all those things im sure it means the world to her! i hope it gets better i truely do hope so. im so glad you sent me this comment!

i'm so sorry that i wasnt able to hang out with you tonight and be there for you. :( i can't say that i know how you feel exactly but i can imagine that you feel neglected and as though hanging out with you is a chore but i promise you, it's not and everyone's going to regret not taking the time out to be with you once you leave. i feel like it just hasnt hit them yet and when it does, it'll be too late. :/
