Again, who bestowed this dan award? Reminds me of the soccer awards where every 8 year old gets a trophy. The award is virtually meaningless.

what award are you talking about? Dan/Duan is used to put levels on each form. There is no award. Dan/Duan=Level

Dan is not an award. the international Wushu Federation is ranking athletes. Dan (japanesse) Duan (Chinese) is the level you are in. So in order to earn one of this level you must travel to China and perform a whole set of routines (barehand and weapons) from a certain level in order to attain officcial credentials from the federation.
