You see, unlike financially prudent "Nazi Germany" of the 1930s and 40s, America is indeed broke. Social Security is a pay-as-you-go scheme, with no surplus. (BTW, I'm not against SS for those who've paid in.)

Correction Mr Kucinich Mr Obama did not say that He just said he can't guarantee the checks will go out...That's all he said. It means if there's government shut down and Soc sec offices are ordered closed then authorizations may not go through. You and the public both know how government works and the cheap shots it pulls? Congress, don't give the Pentagon one more dime until they find the "lost" $2.3 trillion Rumsfeld spoke of nearly 10 years ago. Oh, and let's not forget the $18 + billion that they "lost" in Iraq. And keep your damn hands off of our Social Security!

That's not just America, or hell not even capitalism necessarily. That's just human nature there! In virtually every society in history, there has been the aristocracy, and the peasants. A number of filthy rich people that owned everything, and those that eke out a living. (Or the relatively recently recognized "middle class" who live comfortably at least)

The poor get poorer and the rich get richer. Anyone who says otherwise is trying to sell you something.

Not simple. At all. Even obamacare did three things that most people had no idea about:

Costed a few trillion dollars that would be collected by, of course, taxes. Which means raised taxes for everyone.Not free.

The aforementioned money would have to be collected for a number of years before people would even see the system in use, IE no free healthcare for perhaps a decade, but you're still paying for it.

Guess what, it didn't cover everyone! There are a number of exemptions.

THis is the fault of the liberals.

Liberals and their government are keeping millions of Americans from working. In California and other states Liberals force people to quit their jobs and confiscate their bank accounts. THen force them on SSI and social security. They then end up on the streets. And they are banned from working. liberals hate jobs and prosperity. They want the debt and poverty and they want to destroy this once great nation and implement a Neo Nazi eugenics dictatorship.
