at 1:42, after a little research, i found out he is referring to Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse. They wrote "What kind of fool am i" (grammy, song of the year, 1963), "candy man" and "pure imagination" from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, "goldfinger" and "you only live twice".
