Tibetan Plateau in Peril

Tibetans have lived off the grasslands of the Tibetan Plateau for millennia. As the plateau warms up, this environmentally harmonious way of life, however, is now under mounting pressure. Rapidly melting glaciers and thawing permafrost have disturbed watersheds for rivers, lakes and the pastoral ecosystems. And the consequences are continental and beyond.

Particularly in light of the fact that it is HIGHLY in the interest of industrialists and capitalists to debunk global warming, so as to maintain the security of their current profit margins without having to worry about retooling to ensure there even IS a planet on which to spend their money. If the West led by US can reduce the consumption of energy of at least 8 times higher than average energy consumption in China, the world would be a lots better than it is today. Stop blaming the Chinese and Indians for just started to enjoy life. The West has been consuming energy far more than any other nations on the planet and has the guts to preaching others? I point out to you that, during the Bush Administration, PAID environmental 'scientists' SKEWED their work to favorably augment the Bush agenda for pillaging the American forests. The research of one or two or a handful of scientists 'debunking' global warming is to be equally called into question, since it is just as easy for them to be bought as it is for anyone else.
