Drum cover of Live With Me by The Rolling Stones from the Let It Bleed album.

Released in 1969. The song was one of the first recorded contributions by guitarist Mick Taylor, his guitar part was dubbed over the basic track, and it was the first song on which Keith Richards is credited as playing bass. The song also marks the first time the Stones recorded with tenor saxophonist Bobby Keys (also played on their 1971 hit, "Brown Sugar"), and the only time Leon Russell would play with the Stones. Russell and Nicky Hopkins contributed piano to the piece.

  • Awesome! Keep the stones cover coming!

  • @PiwaiGee Yea, thanks

  • I loved Mick Taylor's Stones year,.I was a fan of Charlie Watts ,,I lovedhis sense of timing , his groove and his steadiness , I guess because I played a lot like that. I . I can't remember him ever soloing. I felt he guided the

Stones and held it together whikle they were tripping through Her Satanic Majesties Request. Also found it interesting that he often does not hit the high hat when hitting the snare. Wht do you think of him as a drummer? Was he an influence ?? Thanks for the memories.

  • @MidnightRambler764 Yes, Charlie influenced me for sure. As a jazz drummer, he understood and implemented a swing element, or should I say, groove, to the Stones' music. Charlie is solid, and he's Keith's right-hand man. Speaking of which, I may cover She Comes In Colors. Thanks for watching.

  • So that's Keith on Bass eh? VERY Cool, he really does drive the bass a lot harder than Bill though I'm not knocking Bill Wyman who is a great player himself. Thanx Sal.

  • @dcrimmen Yea, I agree, the bass is fuller and stronger. Didn't know that until I read it in Wikipedia. Thanks Dave.

  • Hey Gang:

Most folks don't know it, but Charlie Watts is a great Jazz drummer and a big fan of Dixieland music. You should check out his solo album that's mostly covers of big band stuff. Charile can groove with the best of them. He might not like to solo like Gene Crupa (Spelling?) But, speaking as a singer AND a guitar player, lay the groove down, forget about the ego. Let the song play YOU, don't try to PLAY the song! Dig it, Great Job Sal...OOOOOOOO ;-)

  • Charlie Watts is big influence on my style of playing

  • Sal, I rather enjoyed that. Back in the day this was one of the first songs I played in my teen garage band ...for what seemed like hours. That and Night Moves (Don Brewer another influence) By Bob Seger. Well done

    .

  • Great drumming my friend. Keep em coming!

  • Great job! A very underrated Stones song. Always loved Wyman and Watts rhythm section.
