I have the honor of playing the bassoon solo for Irmo High School's edition of this show, and my interpretation of the solo is that the rhythems (especially the dotted 16th/32nd notes and the dotted quarter, eighth, quarter slurs) should be played much cleaner than this. Also, the distiction between the two 16ths and an 8th and the eighth note triplets will be markedly easier to detect.
