great demo and great playing... Really gives me an idea of the alnico II... Just goes to show you certainly don't need a fender guitar to sound good....

@BassOnABudget Awesome, thanks heaps. I will, you rock... :0)

@DavinaFaerie for the price the sx teles are great. The only comparable difference between the SX and the Fender is a bit of tone loss which can be fixed with a $200 set of fender pickups. build quality is great, straight neck, paint and bridge. The only flimsy part is the pickup selector but if your careful with it, you shouldn't have any worries. In short... BUY ONE :D

@BassOnABudget I want to get one, do you think the copy version is worth it? Or is there a better type out there for cheap? Thanks.. :0)

.....that guitar playing was INCREDIBLE. I don't even know how you can keep a straight face while you're making sounds that good

Do you find with Alnico II's you really have to dig into the strings to get the snap and twang? It's a much greater dynamic range for me (SX with Duncan Alnico II's, TUSQ nut + and stainless saddles.) Much sweeter and rounder. The twang is still there, but you have to work for it a little more. ;-)

@intrsoul I find even some alnico 5 pickups that play really good. i've not a big experience on alnico 2 (i've just on this guitar) to do a general opinion about differences from the 5, i can say those pickup are really nice, vintaged output (but not so low, difference from a vintage alnico 5 is light) and with a nice twang and a quick response to picking

Did you put a brass nut on this? I got the Douglas Thinline with humbuckers a short while back for $10 more than this model runs. Put a Tusq nut on it. Love it. Want to get one of these too.

@joch230 i ususally put tusq nuts on my guitars, but brass add brillance and high frequencies and seem ideal for a telecaster so i put this one. Please put some video of the Douglas tele, i don't know this brand and i'm curious to lister
