  • See that thy God fearing be not hypocrisy!!

I love this interpretation and the sentiments of the text.

  • All these people with such strong opinions about Bach! I love it! It is a testament to the musical relevancy to individuals listening to it that everyone thinks they know the right way or best way for it to be done. As long as the music breathes with life...thats whats important. We cannot reach authenticity nor do we need it.

  • your retarded. this is wonderfully interpreted

  • Gardiner is one of the best living conductors and certainly one of the best scholars and interpreters of Bach's music. His choir and orchestra are among the foremost in the world. His work with period performance is revolutionary and in many ways has changed such performance forever, in a very positive and promising way. He is quite arguably one of the most influential musicians of our day. May I never hear him unjustly criticised again.

  • If you are going to make such derogatory remarks, what evidence do you bring to the bar? I think it is widely recognised that J. E. G. has revived interest in J.S.B. worldwide.

  • what? you gotta be kidding. his interpretations of the Bach cantatas are among the best i have ever listened to.
