They need to add a few more "Philly specific jingles" to their repretoire. My suggestions would be

"We do it just a little bit better ... at Wawa"

and

"Nobody bakes a cake as tasty as a Tastykake."

Jimmie's ads have been appearing on the rebroadcast of WPVI's 11:00 PM edition of Action News around 3:00 AM as of March 2010.

Yes, I'm an early riser, as I start work at 6:00 AM. I only get to see the first 7 minutes of Matt O'Donnell, Tamala Edwards and David Murphy before I make the 45-minute trip from northern Bucks County to Willow Grove.

Jimmie's commercial started airing again around 2 AM on KYW-TV (CBS-3) in 2008 or 2009.

I don't know if they still air it, as CBS-3 doesn't air their rebroadcast of the 11:00 news anymore after "that Scottish bastard" goes off. ;-)

Been searching for Jimmy's used auto parts commercial for years. I hope somebody out there has it. Used to love when it popped up on 17, 29 or 48 at 2 AM. LOL

I'm 40 and I remember both The Ideal jingle and The original Wawa jingle. LOL, I worked at Wawa (Flourtown)when I was a teenager

It may be a bit downscale, but how about:

"The home of happy auto parts, where saving money starts, at Jimmie's Used Auto Parts"?

Or, "Everybody who knows, goes to Melrose..." for the Melrose Diner in south Philly.

Yeah, I am 41, and I remeber the jingle and TV commercial well, with that big-ass shiny car pulling up to the racetrack, lol.

But really whoever said 20+?!, I dont think anyone under 40 is going to remember this classic commercial. They just don't make commercials like this anymore :(
