organissimo - Tenderly alt. take - Hammond B3 organ jazz

This is an alternate take of the classic standard "Tenderly" from the 'This Is The Place' sessions. Another take wound up on the record and this one was discarded.

There are some flubs here and there which is why this take wasn't used, but overall the vibe is cool!

You guys have the coolest take on this song I have heard in 53 years of listening to jazz. I can think of no higher praise than to say that you remind me of Goldings, Bernstein and Stewart. This especially reminds me of their versions of Caminhos Cruzados and Once I Loved.

so how is the organ miked/ recorded? the G± signals are balanced.. did the engineer use that? did he split the Great & Swell manuals?

Is the vibrato the built in scanner effect?

@irvnz The organ is stock. Running through a Leslie 122 (in the other room). I don't remember how it was mic'd.

It's a 1958 B3. The video is supposed to be in widescreen but didn't upload correctly, so everything is taller than it should be, which is why the B3 looks so short. :)
