Wonderful comment Lunanecra! I too am beginning to understand what the difference is between inner peace and serenity in the seeming contradiction of my own needs, character deficienceies, etc. We all have our "demons". We who seek do not come to the kingdom of heaven in the sense of happiness as the world knows or has experienced it. It is more that peace which surpasses all understanding.

@Lunanecra The teachings of the Buddha have led to more of what I would call true happiness than anything else i've known in life so far. And I, the pathological sceptic, say this. But a word of warning; it's not 'happiness' as we normally know it... Right now, it's like a growing sense of being at peace with the world, with life, with other beings and their whacky ways. I too hope the efforts of all seekers send out a wave of healing. There is much need for it; so many are suffering. peace2U
