Milling another foam pattern that will be cast in aluminum using the lost foam method. Once cast the part will be finish machined on a CNC Bridgeport.
The machine is running Linux EMC2. Cutting is done with a 1/2" straight flute router bit at about 45 inches per minute. The bit is not center cutting so plunges have to be done at an angle ro using a helical path.
The pattern is half of a gearbox that will drive the X-axis of a CNC plasma table.
