at an outrageous price, everytime i go into a computer store im sorry to see prices that i know dont add up to the actual specs, like they think "ah its ok, the average person dont know about hadware specs" but i suppose theres allways some "sucka", alienware were selling so called gaming computers (£2k) with 1gig ram not long back for example.
Very nice... However, with dell, they over-price quite alot of stuff. I advise the notebooks there, but if you want a decent gaming pc you can build your own for like, $300/400 cheaper.

I know no better and I've been working with PCs for 20 years. Homemade is fun, but often has driver compatibility issues in some form.
Dell has solid design and quality. Good not great price. Just get stock and order upgrades elsewhere. Also, get "PC Decrapifier."
Quiet, stable, easy to work on. Love my Inspiron 8600 too...
