@AgentPofNewVestroia Actually The Japanese one was released in April 2005 and the US one in January 2006. It was far from the first DS game.

FIY, you can speed up and slow down the plankton with the thumb pad.

@Joseborikua I most definitely agree, this is not only a great pass-time game to enjoy, but it does teach a significant amount of skill and logic, positioning the leaves and angle of departure for the hanenbow to cause a bloom on the plant. (...That explanation may have been a bit much...) -o.o-
