I believe somebody noted a couple years ago that a volunteer fire department was servicing this area, thus the lengthy response.
This is why there should be a push for residential fire sprinklers, especially in areas where a volunteer fire department serves the area. A properly working fire sprinkler system would've been able to keep a good portion of this fire subdued until the fire dept showed up. Either way, I'm glad everyone evacuated safely and no one was harmed.

you can see smoke coming from the siding on the house next to it. that heat must of been intense. do you know what started the fire?

@terryk1233 That question has been answered many times already during the nearly 4 years that this video has been on youtube. The fire was started when a tiki torch fell over or was knocked over, possibly by a dog and then fell onto a can of fuel, either torch fuel or a gas can for the homeowner's lawnmower. Which it was exactly, I am unclear of. The fuel certainly helped the fire spread very quickly.
