That MAY be the worst thing he's done, but my imagination kept thinking he was definitely doing blow with Jack Abramhoff. Now I think he's just like every other "good ol' boy" in the senate that will give the defense industry a free pass at any cost. It's patriotic to give missile suppliers no bid contracts, isn't it?

I'm not "Al Franken people" but I will say, it sounded to me like "like" meant "such as" or "including."

If Halliburton specifically was not one of the defense contractors referred to, they could have said other names or just ended the sentence without mentioning any.

I doubt Franken of the "Lying Liars" book wants to take the risk of being perceived as dishonest. Telling it like it is, is the foundation of his public image!

Did he take 100K from contractors including Halliburton, or contracts LIKE Halliburton?

This is important. I need to know if Al Franken is being misleading. He's one of my heroes, I don't want that to happen.
