i was thinking about getting a dl50, but this makes me consider the longshot...it might be a tad bit expensive. i'm not sure where to check prices

The LS2 is an underestimated DLG. Sure, it's no match for modern F3K machines like Sirius or Stobel v2, but LS2 is a very good DLG for the price. The manufacturer sells the LS3 for 200 euros.
