It seems like the Christians in this group were only interested in attempting a sneaky sort of apologetics by making this ridiculous "correction" about the christian stereotype and pushing this idea that christians are actually quite nice. I'm sorry but those christians are in FACT the minority. The nice christians are the ones who never open their mouths when it comes to church/state issues. The evil christians are the majority!

but to me, those are just people who really haven't put any thought into their philosophy and just inherit their religion with no serious consideration from their parents. Their religiosity only goes as far as checking the box next to "christian" on forms. When I think of a christian I think of the person who takes their religion seriously, meaning, they go to church regularly if not weekly, study the bible, and inform their political values according to their interpretation of the bible.

@tanksley2 I have to disagree whole heartedly. More than half of americans are deny the fact of common ancestry. And although most people who take on the label of christian don't go to church, they also don't qualify for my definition of what a christian is. So you could include all the people who believe in a nebulous higher power and maybe jesus was some sort of manifestation of this entity and if you are not a horrible person you can go to heaven when you die and JUST those claims (continued)

@DeimosSaturn Evil Christians are not the majority. Just as you said, they will open their mouths about political issues so you hear from them more and you automatically think they're the majority. They're in the media spotlight because they act so crazy and everyone assumes the majority of Christians are like them, when, in fact, that's not the case at all.

I dislike when Christians do this crap. They pick someone to 'play' the atheist so they can attack a strawman or a lite version that makes them look not so bad.

It is easy to spot. An atheist would know what an atheist is. Things like, "I'm still a vegetarian even though I am an atheist" WTF! I eat meat even though I don't have a mustache.  The two have nothing to do with each other.

It is weak because of what it does to the world if you back something that monstrous and evil especially knowingly you are weak and you aren't qualified for the strong.

They fell short of the glory of being a decent person in truth!
